Black Friday

Woke up and went to the shopping mall with Rosie. While going there I was talking with Rosie about my theory on 'worship leaders', being 'in Christ' making us all priests and joint heirs with Christ and us all being created to worship God. So we are all supposed to be worshippers. I also talked about the morning chorus of birds - how they wake up and declare their territory in song. Some sound beautiful and some dont but they all do it anyway making a noise of praise to God. How we need to be doing the same - declaring Gods territory and being part of a global chorus of praise to God and declaring his territory and ushering the Son into the day. How people who have been told they cant sing need to be released to sing their unique and individual song that the Lord has given them. She recognised the power of this and Holy Spirit in her witnessed to it.

We met Allison and Beeper at the Micronesia Mall and did a whole load of enjoyable looking round. Black Friday is traditionally a day of sales after Thanksgiving so it had to be done. It's called Black Friday because its when retail economy goes from being in the red to being in the black. Met up again and had lunch in the food hall - there were all sorts of types of food stores surrounding a tabled area. I think most nationality's food types were represented you just choose which store you wanted to get your food from. It was great. I went Italian and shared with Allison. Rosie and I then went on to the Cinema where we met the others. It was Cher and Christina Aguilara in Burlesque, quite a raunchy Cabaret type film - I wouldnt take your kids to it or a man for that matter. It was enjoyed by everyone though and we all recognised the talent involved especially in the lead rolls. It had a happy ending and a good outcome. Wouldnt it be great if Christina was using that amazing voice that she has been blessed with for God.

Went home, read James, (faith without works, the power of the tongue and patience and perceverance), then googled some good worship on you tube before getting ready to going out. We had been invited to a get together with a christian couple on the US Navel Barracks. It was a very lovely and entertaining evening. We had supper outside in a kind of communial pavillion in the gardens behind their home. The hostess, who also works at OEC, was one or the 14 who had been baptised the previous day and he was a Christian Jew who had been praying for his wife since he was 13 (not having met her yet). They are a very happy and in love married couple. Actually, thoughout the evening I observed lots of good family relationships and interactions. Lovely people, lovely families. God is good.
