Analysis: Guam vs Engand

I am trying to analyse what it is that gets in the way of a man knowing his need for God. In Guam people are so ready to accept it and receive Christ. Here it is hard. We are as a nation largely self sufficient, too proud to admit we need help, to ourselves or other people and un willing to accept that we might ever be wrong. Is that scathing - sorry. Heck - when we see a miracle here we reason it away as happy coincidence or a due to medical science - anything but divine intervention. In the House Drop-in Centre for youth we have seen miracle healings. The doctors prognosis had been bad but hands, thumbs and arms have been restored completely to those who have allowed us to pray for them. Are those healing miracles attributed to God? No! Why? We, the brits, have difficulty in admitting we are wrong! So sad! My prayer is,

Father God,
Please heal this nation, open eyes and ears to know the truth about you. Let the people perceive the spiritual bondages they are living under and may your Church arise to heal, comfort and release the captives with your power and authority and love. Let us bring understanding where there is non and to proclaim the Greatness of You, the only Creater, Living and Active God. There is non like you.

Your steps to salvation

A - accept
You need God in your life. Accept and receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savour.

B - believe
In the virgin birth, the life, the death and the resurrection of Jesus. That if you had been the only person on the earth that he would have died just for you. He loves you so much. That through his death everything you have ever done wrong can be washed away by his blood. You can be made clean and can now have a personal relationship with the living God. That in making Jesus Lord of your life you can receive the promise of eternal life in heaven. The alternative is eternally horrendous.

C - confess
That you have done wrong. Living your life without him is sin (and I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t ever done a wrong thing or spoken a wrong word, had a wrong thought even). Ask for his forgiveness - he will forgive you.

D - do it
Turn from your sin and follow Jesus. Make it your goal to do as Jesus does, to live and walk and think and talk like he does. We cant do it without him. Ask him to help you - he will help you.
